Event Horizon
Your entire day on a single radial clock. Four data streams, four concentric rings.
Most dashboards show you one thing at a time. Your calendar here, your sleep there, your screen time somewhere else. The Event Horizon puts them all on a single clock so you can see your whole day at a glance.
It is a 24-hour radial visualization with four concentric rings, each representing a different stream of your life: schedule, screen time, physical activity, and biological energy. Where the rings overlap, that is where the interesting patterns live.
How to read the clock
The clock runs from 12 AM at the top, clockwise through the day. Hour labels appear at 3-hour intervals around the perimeter. A green hand with a pulsing tip marks the current time (visible on today's view only).
The "Event Horizon" boundary: On today's view, the current-time hand splits the clock in two. Past events appear solid and fully opaque. Future events appear faded and dashed. You can see what has happened and what is coming. On historical dates, the full 24-hour picture is shown without this split.
The four rings
Intent Ring (outermost)
What you planned to do. Your calendar events appear as arcs around the circle. Meetings (events with two or more attendees) have different visual weight than solo events. Hover any arc to see the event title, time range, and attendee count.

Digital Ring
What you actually did on screen. Each arc covers an hourly window of desktop activity, colored by category:
| Color | Category | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Productivity | VS Code, Terminal, Notion |
| Purple | Design | Figma, Sketch, Photoshop |
| Orange | Communication | Slack, Zoom, Teams |
| Gray | Browsing & Other | Chrome, Safari, everything else |
Hover to see the top 3 apps and total minutes for that window.

Physical Ring
What your body was doing. Three types of physical data from your Oura Ring:
- Sleep shown as gray arcs, with sleep score when available
- Workouts shown as green arcs, with activity type and intensity
- Recovery sessions (meditation, breathing, naps) shown as cyan arcs

Energy Ring (innermost)
How much fuel you had. A variable-thickness, color-coded ring showing your biological energy throughout the day. Thicker, greener segments mean higher energy. Thinner, redder segments mean lower.
| Color | Energy level | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Above 0.8 | Peak capacity |
| Green | 0.5 to 0.8 | Good energy |
| Orange | 0.3 to 0.5 | Getting low |
| Red | Below 0.3 | Rest territory |

What you need connected
Each ring appears only when its data source is connected. You can use the clock with any combination.
| Ring | Source | Required integration |
|---|---|---|
| Intent | Calendar events | Google Calendar |
| Digital | App usage | Pulse for macOS |
| Physical | Sleep, workouts, sessions | Oura Ring |
| Energy | Biological energy curve | Oura Ring |
Even with just Google Calendar, the Intent Ring gives you a useful circular view of your schedule. Each additional source adds another layer of context.
Navigation and interaction
Use the date controls on the Timespace page to view any historical date. Hover over any arc on any ring for a detailed tooltip. On mobile, tap an arc to reveal the same details. The clock scales responsively to your screen size.
